Liminaria MMXXIII microfestival

Codes of marginality
21-22 December 2024
Villino Del Balzo, San Martino Valle Caudina (AV)
Festival of sound/visual art and contemporary rural culture

December 2023

To close the year in which the Associazione Culturale Interzona – APS celebrated its twentieth anniversary, the Liminaria project returns with a two-day event structured around an exhibition and a series of talks, workshops and presentations, interventions and reflections on technocultures and related artistic practices, both as instruments of social, cultural, economic and material transformation and innovation in rural territories, and as tools for imagining other futures for territories that the narratives of contemporaneity place on the margins of global political and economic processes.

The theme around which the Liminaria microfestival was built was that of the languages and imaginaries of contemporary rurality: the point of constant listening and return was the network of codes that define the complex relationships between what – politically – defines the dimension of the rural and the narratives that are built on (and from) it through technologies, cultures, societies in the contemporary world, at local and global levels.
