Upcoming events: curating the Liminaria MMXXIII microfestival and lecture at the Fondazione Benetton

07.12.2023

On 21 and 22 December I will be curating the 2023 edition of the Liminaria microfestival, which this year has the theme “Codes of Marginality”, analysing the network of codes that define the complex relationships between what – politically – defines the dimension of the rural and the narratives constructed on (and from) it by technologies, cultures and societies in the contemporary world, at local and global levels. Hideki Umezawa, Nicola Di Croce and Eija Ranta are among the artists who will be exhibiting or participating in the two-day event at the Villino del Balzo in San Martino Valle Caudina. I will conclude the series of winter engagements in Treviso, where I will give a lecture at the 20th edition of the International Landscape Study Days, organised by the Fondazione Benetton, on 23 February at 10 am.

Three talks in Venice, Ostia and San Marino between September and December

21.09.2023

My calendar for autumn and winter includes three lectures. On the 14th of September at 15.30 I will be speaking at the international seminar Sonic Mediation, which deals with the specificity of sound in urban and rural contexts. On this occasion I will present a listening session and discuss with Budhaditya Chattophadyay, Nicola Di Croce, Gaia Martino and Giulia Vismara the practice of field recording as a form of urban and territorial research and as a tool for cultural and spatial transformations.
I will then be at the Teatro del Lido di Ostia on 3 November at 6 pm, where I will give a training talk on audio production and sound creation, organised by the Fermento festival \\\\ ambiente memorie ascolti in synergy with the permanent theatre workshop Sonodramma. Finally, I will be in San Marino, where on 1 December I will give a talk at the Antico Monastero di Santa Chiara during the Tactus radio festival, organised by Usmaradio and curated by Roberto Paci Dalò.
